Professor Dr. Kashif Ikram is a distinguished Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, a Specialist in Oral Medicine, and an Implantologist, with a career marked by extensive training, teaching, and leadership in dentistry. He received his BDS in 1996 from Baqai Dental College Karachi. Dr. Ikram furthered his surgical training in the United Kingdom, where he obtained two prestigious fellowships: FDSRCS (Oral Surgery) in 2002 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and FFD RCSI (Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine) in 2002 from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. He also earned a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantology (FICOI) in 2019.
With over 18 years of teaching experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, Dr. Ikram has held significant academic positions, including Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Principal of Baqai Dental College Karachi. He is trained in medical education for dental graduates and is deeply committed to training local dentists through high-caliber programs.
Dr. Ikram’s special interests lie in maxillofacial trauma and the rehabilitation of jaws with dental implants. He leads a dynamic team of specialists, including periodontists, restorative dentists, orthodontists, and well-trained prosthodontists. His dedication to the field is reflected in numerous national and international scientific articles and presentations. He has also produced and hosted a series of health programs on national television.
Beyond his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Ikram is a motivational speaker and trainer for youth and young doctors. He is passionate about a holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing treating the person, not just the teeth, and believes in democratizing healthcare by bringing the best technology and optimal practices to all.
